Controversial Masvingo Minister Shuvai Mahofa has gone missing as rumours flare that she dropped dead last night after being poisoned at the just ended ZANU PF conference. The “poisoning” report has been confirmed by fully named impeccable senior ZANU PF sources.
Our source can exclusively reveal from fully named ZANU PF sources she has been unwell after being poisoned following her criticising of First Lady Grace Mugabe and her province’s historic rebellion against the First Family.
Reports coming out Masvingo claimed that the Minister who has been unwell for over (2) two weeks to date, collapsed and died on Christmas day. While they remained unconfirmed at the time of writing, her cellphone reported continuously switched off when contacted several times.
Mahofa has been admitted at a Harare hospital and Gutu Central MP Lovemore Matuke confirmed she has not been well following the Victoria Falls conference. A doctor also confirmed that she ate poisoned food.
Gutu East legislator Berita Chikwama also said Mahofa has been in hospital in Harare since Tuesday.
ZANU PF Spokesman Simon Khaya Moyo was unavailable for comment.
But there was a food poisoning incident at the Victoria Falls conference when Mahofa consumed the poisoned food. She has not been well ever since.
The development comes after Mahofa attacked Grace Mugabe barely a few days before, and her province has led the only and most humiliating resistance against Mrs Mugabe which made Grace cancel her campaign rally at the last minute before the December conference. Mahofa told her Vhitorians(Masvingo dwellers) that a woman should not rule the nation while men are still alive.
Meanwhile sources in the ZANU PF provincial hierarchy said they are at present unaware of her whereabouts.
