President Robert Mugabe's wife Grace Mugabe on Tuesday  made sensational claims that she was informed under fire Vice-President Joice Mujuru was planning to kill her the "Gaddafi way" once President Robert Mugabe leaves office.

Addressing cross border traders at her Mazowe Orphanage, Dr Grace said Mujuru wanted to drag her onto the streets like what happened to former Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi when he was killed on October 20 2011.

The First Lady has been publicly attacking Mujuru, accusing her of plotting to oust President Mugabe, championing factionalism in Zanu PF, gossiping and outright corruption.

"She has been telling people that once Mugabe dies, I will contain her (First Lady), to draw me close to her and my secretaries told me that she told people how she wants to put me in her pocket," the First Lady said.

"She said the day her (Grace Mugabe's) husband dies, I will drag her in the streets, people laughing at her while her flesh sticks on the tarmac surface. Yes, that's what she does. She said we will do the Gaddafi way of dragging and parading her (Grace) on the tarmac surface. And she cannot deny that. I had to say to myself, why you are doing this after supporting you, (sic)."

Gaddafi died from bullet wounds after a failed attempt to escape from the fighters of the National Transitional Council (NTC), but a video footage released by his captures showed the late Libyan nationalist being dragged on the ground by a youthful soldier.

The First Lady took time to explain what President Mugabe meant by the word Chipfukuto or weevil saying it was meant for Mujuru who she described as the real weevil.

Initially, the attack made by President Mugabe at the funeral wake of the late nationalist, Nathan Shamuyarira, in June was reportedly directed at Information minister Jonathan Moyo.

"We were at the Heroes Acre during Shamuyarira's burial when President Mugabe announced that the party has been infiltrated by weevils. After saying that, Amai Mujuru looked at me and said that she has been vindicated, and I said to myself this woman is the real weevil," the First Lady said.

Mujuru has also been accused of masterminding an elaborate assassination plot against President Mugabe.

However, in a statement at the weekend Mujuru denied all the charges levelled against her.

In her response, Grace described Mujuru as an uneducated person who could not interpret the constitution well. She also blasted her on Monday and labelled her a "fool and chituta cheDaily News".

During her address, Grace ordered Mujuru "to go back to Dotito", her home area and said that she should step down as the vice-president. She said the president was under pressure to fire Mujuru and hope she would quit on her own.

As the internal fissures in the ruling party threaten to spill-over ahead of a watershed congress, Mujuru allies have fallen by the way side, among them nine provincial chairperson, party spokesperson Rugare Gumbo who was slapped with a five year suspension, while war veterans former leader Jabulani Sibanda was expelled.

Meanwhile, Mashonaland Central chairperson Luke Mushore and the provincial women's league chair Dorothy Mashonganyika were booted out yesterday.

Wonder Mashange has been appointed acting chairperson of the main wing, while one Jonga from Guruve has been appointed as the acting women's league boss.
