A 21-year-old University of Zimbabwe student died in unclear circumstances and his body was found in a swimming pool at the campus this Wednesday afternoon.
Police spokesperson, Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi confirmed the incident.
He said the body of the student, whose name is being withheld since his next of kin has not yet been informed, has since been retrieved and sent to Parirenyatwa Hospital for a post mortem.
It is not yet clear whether the death was due to drowning or otherwise and police are still carrying out investigations to ascertain what might have happened.
The incident comes barely three weeks after three men died in Highlands, Harare during a pool party.
Timothy Moyo (22), Washington Mushanawani (19) and Tonderai Haatumwi's bodies were found floating in a pool on Sunday & October in the morning after a night of partying at a boat house along Enterprise Road in Highlands.
It is suspected that the three tried to swim and drowned and their bodies were found early in the morning.
