Sungura ace Alick Macheso's daughter Sharon reportedly infected her husband of two months Kudakwashe Munetsi with a sexually transmitted disease a few days before their wedding in August, while wedding gifts and $10,000 cash went to the Macheso family. Munetsi filed opposing papers at the Chitungwiza Civil Court yesterday through his lawyer Mr Charles Chikore of C. Mutsahuni Chikore and Partners indicating that the two issues were partly responsible for the collapse of their marriage.
Sharon filed an application for a protection order against Munetsi on Monday, but in his opposing affidavit Munetsi said it was him instead who should be protected by the courts.
Munetsi alleged that Sharon was possessed by an evil spirit and had to take snuff occasionally to pacify it.
Sharon, on Tuesday, filed an application for a protection order against Munetsi whom she accused of being violent towards her and cited drug abuse as the major reason.
Munetsi has denied the allegations in her affidavit, saying his mother-in-law was interfering in his marriage.
"So many things have been said about me by the applicant, while I have been quiet. To put the record straight, so many things are causing problems in our marriage. Our marital problems have been caused by the violent conduct she exhibits. Prior to this, we had other arguments associated with a sexually transmitted disease she had just before our wedding. She admitted she had the disease and we both got treated at Ebenezer Clinic in Hatfield. We had to seek medical attention now and then and up to now we hardly have sex," he said.
Munetsi alleged that Sharon often flew into a violent rage which resulted in her family taking her to their home for up to three days, leaving him without company.
"She appears possessed by a spirit and she normally does that after sniffing some snuff and she becomes so powerful. This behaviour started way back before we got married and upon asking her she confirmed that she has a spirit, adding that her grandmother, Mary Mutore, who is a traditional healer, was always helping her," he said.
Munetsi alleged that all the presents they got at their wedding were taken by the Macheso family, while his mother-in-law Nyadzisai took away the $10,000 cash.
"All the gifts we got were taken to her parent's house in Waterfalls instead of our house. I only asked about the money and gifts and that annoyed her such that she told me not to ask about them, saying the wedding had been sponsored by her parents. Her mother took the money we received which was put into Sharon's account and she squandered all of it. Sometimes the mother comes to our house and starts shouting at me, this is basically the background of our problems," he said.
Munetsi said Sharon also had a habit of coming home way after midnight. He said he recently sought medical attention due to stress caused by Sharon, adding that he had evidence to prove that.
Sharon customarily married South Africa-based Kudakwashe in February and the ceremony took place at Macheso's Waterfalls home. The young couple then tied the knot at Pakare Paye Arts Centre on 12 August this year. The couple claims that they had been boyfriend and girlfriend for a whooping 9-year period before they eventually got married.
However, Sharon made several news headlines in those 9 years which varied from aborting pregnancies to dating a known and self confessed womaniser, Peter Moyo.
Despite Sharon 'introducing' her official boyfriend (Kuda Munetsi) in 2012 at Alick Macheso's baby welcome show in Harare, Sharon was said to be madly in love with the late Tongai Moyo's son, Peter Moyo. Both Peter and Sharon however denied ever falling in love, though My Zimbabwe is currently in possession of two photos where Peter Moyo and Sharon Macheso posed arm-to-arm. As if that was not enough, The Sunday Mail also published an article where they revealed that Peter Moyo had written on his WhatsApp Status that he is allegedly in love with Sharon Macheso. The Sunday Mail also published a picture showing Peter Moyo and Sharon Macheso enjoying each other's comfort supposedly.
In 2011, Sharon spent the greater part of a week in the month of October admitted in hospital amid rumours that she suffered complications in a backyard abortion. The dormitory town of Chitungwiza was awash with word that Alick Macheso's eldest daughter and socialite developed complications in the backyard abortion. However, Sharon, who was 22 years old by then thwarted the rumours and set the record straight.
She revealed that she was admitted because of the recurrence of symptoms of her sugar diabetes chronic condition. "I was never pregnant and I did not abort," she said then.
Her step-mother Tafadzwa, who by her own admission has no medical credentials, however also testified that Sharon was NEVER pregnant and she declared that she is in fact a VIRGIN. "She has NEVER slept with a man in her entire 22 years," Tafadzwa declared!
It is unclear whether a virginity test was conducted on her save to say maybe it was the love of a stepmother trying to convincingly assert that her step-daughter was 'clean'.
