A 40-year-old man is on the run after allegedly s_3xually attacking a 13-year-old girl.
A source close to the incident said the victim and the s_3xual attacker were co-tenants at a house in Pumula North suburb. On the fateful day the victim was left at home with her eight-year-old younger brother while the s_3xual attacker was in his room.
The attacker who cannot be named so as to protect the identity of the minor invited the victim to his room. The victim went to his room with her eight-year-old younger brother.
It is said while they were watching TV the eight-year-old fell asleep and the alleged rap!st took advantage of the situation and groped the minor’s br_3asts and thighs before s_3xually attacking her.
After the ordeal he threatened to kill her if ever she revealed the rap_e incident to anyone.
Fearing for her life the minor kept the horrifying incident to herself. The matter came to light when the victim visited her aunt in Pumula South suburb.
“She told her aunt that she was rap3d by the 40-year-old man and was afraid to tell her mother because she feared for her life as he (attacker) threatened to kill her,” said the insider.
Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident and advised parents or guardians not to leave their children alone at home.
