A 31-year-old drunk man from Bulawayo is reported to have kicked his three-year-old daughter and assaulted his wife with slaps.
Mthabisi Ndlovu appeared before Bulawayo magistrate Busani Sibanda facing three counts of physical abuse and was remanded in custody to 9 September 2022.
Allegations against the perpetrator are that on 28 August 2022 at around 9pm, Ndlovu was drinking beer at home, and for no apparent reason, he started insulting his wife, Rebecca Katsande (25).
He went on to assault her with slaps twice and kicked his three-year-old-daughter on her face.
Fearing that her husband would continue assaulting them, she went on to sleep in the bathroom with her children.
The following day at around 7am, Ndlovu went on to assault his wife with a slap for sleeping in the bathroom. The matter was reported to the police, leading to the arrest of Ndlovu.
