2 men kidnapped woman, rape her without protection and dump her in bush

A 50-year-old woman was bundled into a tinted Honda Fit car, robbed of her cash before she was allegedly s_əxually attacked and infected with a S_əxually Transmitted Infection (STI) by two knife-wielding robbers.

The woman works in North End suburb.

On the fateful day she was a few metres from her employer’s home when the Honda Fit car abruptly stopped in front of her and two men bolted out of the car and grabbed her by her hand while pointing a knife at her face. They pushed her into the car and drove off at high speed, a source said.

They drove to a bushy area near United College of Education and parked their car before they carried out the attack on her.

“They stripped her nak_ed before they s_əxually attacked her. After that they dumped her in the bush,” said the source.

The woman was assisted with a wrapping cloth by a pedestrian who was heading to town. She reported the incident to the police. She was referred to a hospital and she discovered that she had been infected with an STI.

Bulawayo police spokesperson Inspector Abednico Ncube confirmed the incident and strongly discouraged commuters from boarding pirate taxis and said they risked their lives.

“We have recorded a number of crimes which are perpetrated by Honda Fit crews as they are usually hired by criminals to carry out their criminal activities. In light of that we would like to discourage community members from boarding unregistered vehicles as they risk being robbed, attacked and rap_ed,” he warned.
