Macheso extremely happy as daughter Sharon weds

Sungura musician Alick Macheso is extremely happy that next month he will witness the wedding of his daughter, Sharon.

It is always every parent’s wish that a son or daughter weds and that such a unifying ceremony is witnessed by everyone, including enemies and haters.

The nation remembers vividly images of President Robert Mugabe and First Lady Grace Mugabe as they witnessed their daughter, Bona wed.

At such an advanced age, Mugabe was more than happy that he had to witness Bona’s wedding, hence time with close friends and relatives.

Most of the times we meet relatives is when there is a death, but weddings are quite a happy affair.

Just like Bona, there has over the years been rumours surrounding Sharon, that she was dating so and so, including musician Peter Moyo and that she already had a son.

Similarly, there were rumours about Bona’s love life.

Grace, as a concerned mother was all over the news saying her daughter was clean and still a virgin and that such rumours were totally false.

But Bona’s wedding was to silence many haters and she is now happily married. I am sure Mugabe was so happy that finally her daughter was getting married.

Macheso is a happy man as he was quoted in the media where he promised a wedding of a lifetime with 800 guests expected to grace the occasion.

The wedding is taking place at Tuku’s Pakare Paye Arts Centre and what an honour for Mtukudzi and his wife, Daisy.

Macheso says Tuku and Daisy are like his “parents” and he was happy that his daughter’s wedding was taking place at their spacious venue.

The news crew is happy for Macheso and wishes the family all the success on August 11. I know it will be the day that the singer would be putting his best suit. Macheso likes suits and I am sure he is shopping around for the best.

Sharon customarily married South Africa-based Kudakwashe in February and the ceremony took place at Macheso’s Waterfalls home.
