Virginia Gasela from Bulawayo’s Lobengula West suburb is a tormented woman as she is being accused by Sylvia Nkomo of being head over heels in love with her husband and for allegedly having sent her husband an image of her private parts.
Gasela, who is married and has two children with her husband, who is based in South Africa said Nkomo has been a thorn in her flesh as she sent her a string of WhatsApp messages insulting her for allegedly being in love with her husband who is a supervisor at a local supermarket.
Gasela denies the accusations against her and says they have a potential of wrecking her marriage.
However, she said she exchanged cellphone numbers with Nkomos’ husband and even admitted that she sent him messages to remind him about securing a job for her younger sister at his supermarket.
She stated that the messages they exchanged were plain as they had no s_3xual connotations.
In a bid to stop Nkomo from bombarding her with a string of vitriolic messages and threatening to kill her, Gasela applied for a peace order at Western Commonage Court.
In her affidavit Gasela said: “I’m applying for a peace order against Sylvia Nkomo. She is in the habit of sending me a string of messages insulting me while warning me to cut ties with her husband and has threatened to kill me.
The problem started after she stumbled on WhatsApp messages that I had exchanged with her husband as I was requesting him to secure a job for my younger sister. I pray that this honourable court will grant me a protection order.”
Nkomo hit back and said: “The truth is not in her as she is lying to this court. She sent my husband an image of her private part and bare b_reast and begged him to send her an image of his private parts.
And that was strong evidence that they were in love. After that I confronted her and told her to cut the affair with my husband.”
The presiding magistrate Shepherd Mnjanja granted both parties a reciprocal order which binds Gasela and Nkomo to live peacefully with each other.
