WHEN Mittah Matjila met her ex-boyfriend in February, she thought she had found the love of her life.
The 28-year-old and her ex moved in together in Shoshanguve, Tshwane, before later moving to Marabastad.
But she got the shock of her life when she caught him injecting nyaope Bluetooth and was forced to pack her bags and leave.
Mittah told Daily Sun as she didn’t have any family, she went to stay with a friend in her shack in Lethabong, Mamelodi.
“On Friday, 7 October, he came here. I don’t know how he found me.
“I told him I didn’t want to be with him anymore as there was no way I could be involved with a drug addict,” she said.
She said on Saturday, she found the man sleeping in her room in the shack.
“I asked him to leave.
“He told me he wanted me back and when I refused, he got angry,” she said.
Mittah said on Thursday, 13 October, she found her room had been burnt.
“All my things went up in flames, the bed and everything inside is gone,” she said.
Mittah said she knew the culprit was her ex-boyfriend.
“I know it’s him because he told me he will kill me, and I’ll never be happy,” she said.
Mittah said she wanted to open a case, but her friend stopped her.
“She asked me to leave her shack and now I’m homeless,” she said.
About the man, she said; “This man can’t only be taking nyaope. I’m sure he does other drugs because he is dangerous.”
Mittah’s friend told the SunTeam she wasn’t going to open a case.
“I told Mittah to leave it. I didn’t open a case and I’m OK,” she said.
