High Court Judge Justice Munamato Mutevedzi has granted bail to 14 Citizens Coalition for Change (CCC) activists who have been in jail since June this year on charges of inciting violence following the murder of a fellow activist, Moreblessing Ali.
The 14 were ordered to deposit $50 000 each with the clerk of court and also instructed to report twice a week at a police station, to reside at their given addresses and not to interfere with State witnesses.
Meanwhile, CCC legislator Job Sikhala who is accused of obstructing course of justice remains behind bars after he was denied bail by the High Court last week.
This was Sikhala’s eighth attempt on bail without success.
