An assistant artisan went to court accusing his ex-girlfriend of physically and emotionally abusing him.
Maxwell Joe applied for a protection order against his ex-girlfriend, Nomatter Torowedzera, over her violent tendencies, and magistrate Tamara Chibindi granted his application.
“Every time I don’t have money, she assaults me and sells my property. I sustained injuries on my leg the last time she assaulted me, and now l cannot work. At one time she even tried to poison me and later apologised,” he said.
Maxwell pleaded with the court for protection, requesting that Nomatter be barred from coming to his place of residence, as she pleases.
“I no longer want to see her at my house or workplace.”
Nomatter was not in court to defend herself and magistrate Chibindi granted the protection order in default.
