COMEDIENNE Felistas “Mai TT” Murata missed the burial of her grandmother, which was turned into a celebration party in Buhera on Saturday.

Gogo Julia Murata died last Wednesday at the age of 110 and was buried at Govere Village under Chief Nerutanga.

Mai TT told H-Metro that Gogo Julia was too humorous that every grandchild l0ved being by her side.

“I was very saddened by the passing away of my grandmother. My belief is that she is resting peacefully in heaven. I missed her burial because of work since I am far away from home. I was one of her favourites and will miss her jokes and little fights we used to have,” said Mai TT.

One of Gogo Julia’s sons, Apostle Benjamin Murata, provided entertainment at the burial. It was more of a celebration than a funeral as mourners spoke highly of Gogo Julia’s 110 years.

Apostle Murata said Gogo Julia was blessed with 10 children.

“My mother has been promoted to heavenly places,” said Apostle Murata.

“We were born 10 children, five boys and five girls. She is survived by three boys and one girl. My ministry and workmates engaged New Life Pentecost Church praise and worship team to help mourners in celebrating my mother’s life,” he said.

Among the mourners were parliamentarian Oliver Mandipaka, various church leaders, traditional leaders and school heads.
