THE Zimbabwe School Examinations Council (Zimsec) ‘O’ and ‘A’ examination results for June this year are out.
Zimsec director Esau Shingirai Nhandara in a statement, said school heads could start collecting the results from the regional centres today.
Nhandara said 194 278 candidates sat for the June Ordinary Level examinations. The average pass rate was 37,96%, 13,23% lower than last year.
“Compared with other years, the lowest pass rate is in June 2014 examination,” Nhandara said.
He said the timeous release of the results was necessitated by the electronic registration of candidates and marking of scripts.
Many ‘O’ Level students are still struggling to pass English language and Mathematics which had the lowest average passes.
