The Ministry of Education is taking no prisoners in it’s stance for accountability and weeding out corruption.
In a harsh move, the ministry has decided to withhold all O’level results for 4 students from St Davids High school in Mutare. The four students are said to have cheated in a Mathematics exams by accessing the paper before hand and they also had pre-written answers.
Questioned over the misdemeanor, the students admitted to the contravention and claimed they had accessed the exam script via the social media platform.
The ministry has adopted a a rigid stance by subsequently cancelling all their results, meaning the situation will be as if they didn’t sit for any exam thereof.
Recently the ministry caused an uproar by declaring that all O’level students should resit for the English paper 2 exams citing that it was leaked beforehand, therefore the results were not credible.
This new approach toward restoring credibility to the institution has been met my mixed reactions and most of them in the negative.
