Speaking through his official Twitter account, popular Nigerian cleric and founder of the Synagogue Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Temitope Balogun (T.B.) Joshua expressed his condolences to the family of Morgan Tsvangirai and the nation of Zimbabwe. Below is the press statement:
We at Emmanuel TV and The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations offer our heartfelt condolences to the family of Morgan Tsvangirai and the nation of Zimbabwe. It is important to realise that the manner in which a person dies does not matter; what counts is the life you live.
Because of Jesus Christ’s death and resurrection, we who place our faith in Him can look at death not as a period but a comma. Therefore, whether we die young or old, what matters is the grace to continue living hereafter.
Continuing to trust God is the only way to get ready for the things you are not ready for. You need not fear where you are going when you know God is going with you. If you are prepared to die, you are prepared to live.
May the Almighty God console the people of Zimbabwe at this time and give them courage and strength to bear the loss. Our God is faithful and true, a Rock against which you can lean your faith, even as the winds of mourning howl around you.
