The Chitungwiza Central Hospital has published a list of 34 people who died and have been unclaimed at the mortuary for almost 12 months. The Hospital is appealing to relatives of the deceased to come forward and claim the bodies. It warned that people have 21 days to claim the bodies before it conducts a pauper burial. Some of the bodies are those of people who died in Old People’s Homes.

NOTICE FOR THE PAUPER BURIAL OF UNCLAIMED BODIES
THE FOLLOWING DECEASED PERSONS HAVE BEEN UNCLAIMED IN THE CHITUNGWIZA MORTUARY FROM 13TH APRIL, 2016 TO 31 DECEMBER, 2017. THE HOSPITAL IS THEREFORE MAKING ITS LAST APPEAL TO THE RELATIVES OR MEMBERS OF THE PUBLIC OF THE DEARLY DECEASED PERSONS TO COME FORWARD AND CLAIM THE BODIES AND GIVE THEMA DECENT BURIAL
