Chamisa’s BBC HARDtalk interviewer Stephen Sackur under fire


Stephen Sackur, who interviewed Nelson Chamisa in a much talked about episode of BBC’s HARDtalk, has been exposed to have lied during the interview. Sackur apparently lied that President Emmerson Mnangagwa set up a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to deal with past human rights abuses. Mnangagwa only set up the National Peace and Reconciliation Commission. The distinction is considered important as the later does not have a “Truth” component.
