A young Zimbabwean medical doctor who wept while addressing a ZANU-PF National Youth Convention in Gweru yesterday has faced a lot of criticism on social media.
The doctor, who is only identified himself as doctor Mugoni, sobbed after chanting ZANU–PF slogans and giving a speech thanking the president and his deputy for over 100% salary increments awarded to doctors after their strike.
National Patriotic Front spokesperson Jealous Mawarire castigated the doctor and the government saying, “This is what happens when a whole govt legalises mbanje growing. Chiremba vakatorohwa zvavo nechamba.”

“lt is unfortunate that one doctor misrepresented &chanted political slogans at a ZANUPF rally in the name of the Zimbabwe Hospital Doctors Association. Shame!”
