Another survey predicts comfortable win for President Mnangagwa in 2018 elections (SEE RESULTS)


As the 2018 harmonised elections draw nearer, an opinion poll Trends and Insights for Africa (TIFA) Research shows that Zanu PF support stands at 74 percent while that of the MDC Alliance is at 24 percent, with NPP, MDC-T Khupe, and others sharing the remaining two percent of the electorate.

According to the TIFA Research presidential candidate popularity poll, Zanu PF’s Cde Emmerson Mnangagwa is leading the pack with 68.5 percent followed by MDC Alliance leader Advocate Nelson Chamisa who has 19.5 percent and on third place is Dr Joice Mujuru of NPP with 2 percent while Dr Thokozani Khupe has a mere 1 percent.

According to the poll, nine percent of the electorate is undecided.

Zimbabweans go to the polls on the 30th of next month to choose a leader who will take the reigns of power for the next five years.

The results are similar to those released on the 29th of May for another poll by the Kenya based Pan African Forum Limited which gave President Mnangagwa 70 percent of the vote against MDC Alliance leader Advocate Chamisa’s 24 percent.
