A total of 46 countries have been invited by the Zimbabwean government to observe the 2018 harmonised elections set for the 30th of July next month.

Zimbabwe is preparing to host its first ever election without former perennial presidential campaigner and president Robert Mugabe who has held on to power for the past 37 years, outmaneuvering the late major opposition leader Morgan Tsvangirai in controversial previous elections.

President Mnangagwa has lobbied for peaceful, free and fair elections.

Last week, the country held senatorial, Member of Parliament and Presidential nominations country wide ahead of the country's elections.
