Two men, Takunda Chiripo and Elisha Ndukwana from the mining town of Mashava are allegedly paying maintenance for one child sired with Christina Ngwenya (38) from the same area.
According to papers in possession of The Mirror, Chiripo was the first to pay maintenance of $40 in July 2017 for the child born on May 3 2015.
The maintenance order was granted by Magistrate Bishard Chineka sitting at the Mashava circuit court.
In December 2017 Ngwenya approached Masvingo Civil Court where an order under case number M707/17 was granted against Ndukwana for the upkeep of the minor child including three others. She was granted $200 although she had prayed for the court to give her $500.
In the court papers the four children are registered in Ndukwana's name while in the Mashava case the minor was registered under Chiripo's name.
Meanwhile, Chiripo has reported the matter to the Police and is filing papers with the Civil Court for the discharge of the maintenance that he is paying to Ngwenya.
