Tragedy: One killed in deadly car accident, name released


Richard Kurehwaseka, a teacher at Mukaro High School was killed in an accident on Friday night when his car crashed with near Chatsworth along the Gutu – Chatsworth Road on Friday.

Kurehwaseka (55) was also the Roman Catholic chairman for the St Joseph Guild in Gutu District.

Kurehwaseka’s brother Mafio Kurehwandishe confirmed the incident.

Tens of people from all walks of life converged at Kurehwaseka homestead to pay their last respects on Monday.

He went to Mushangwe Primary School from Grade 1 to 7 in 1973 to 1980. He did his secondary school at Alheit High from form1 to 4 in 1981 to 1984.

Kurehwaseka did his tertiary education at Gweru Teacher’s College from 1988 to 1990 (S.T.C). From 2005 to 2006 he did his Bachelor of Education at the Midlands State University.

He joined Mukaro High in 1991 and taught Shona.
