Jonathan Moyo breathes fire, attacks Minister Modi for selling goods in US dollars: Fix the problem or shut up!

Former Zanu PF legislator Jonathan Moyo has rapped deputy minister of industry Raji Modi for telling the public that some of his goods are being sold in US dollar only while telling other businesses to sell goods in bond notes.

“The Deputy Minister of Industry & Commerce’s ministry tells the business community that the bondnote/USD rate is 1 to 1 yet his own business is not accepting bondnotes & demands USD for imported beer because he knows the 1 to 1 rate is fake. A legitimacy & credibility issue here!” Moyo tweeted.

This was after Modi tweeted saying, “I would like to inform my valued clients that only alcoholic drinks bought in USD are being sold in USD to allow us to restock. Our suppliers want USD, nothing else. For all other goods, Liquor Hub accepts any form of payment. Bond notes and plastic money are legal tender.”

“Minister, other retailers have the same USD problem. But unlike them you’re govt. So, fix the problem or shut up!” Moyo fumed
