Four of the 10 students struck by lightning at Montrose School near Lion’s Den last Thursday are still admitted at Chinhoyi Hospital where they shared the agony they endured.
The lightning bolt killed one student and left nine others injured, four of them seriously.
The four students, three male and one female, are still in the surgical wards at the hospital.
Sharing what they went through following the tragic occurrence, one of the students said he felt as if his body had been cut into two, from the waist line as he fell helplessly on the ground in pain.
Another survivor of the tragedy does not recall what happened as he only found himself in hospital after gaining consciousness.
He was later to be told that teachers had a difficult time pulling out the boy’s tongue which had sunken to the respiratory tract.
The students were struck by lightning moments before schools closed
