Earlier this week news broke that Mrs Jones – Minnie Dlamini – had not paid her wedding bill in full. Whilst most people thought Minnie and Quinton could not afford to pay, it turns out it’s not the case.
Minnie Dlamini and her husband were allegedly at loggerheads with wedding planner Mizana Qata of Wellseated over a R500,000 wedding bill.
So intense is the dispute that the wedding planner elevated the matter to MultiChoice, the sole rights owners of Dlamini’s wedding, to ask for their intervention.
It is understood that Dlamini was summoned to a meeting by MultiChoice executive Nkateko Mabaso to explain the impasse. Dlamini allegedly told the broadcaster the supplier was reneging on their agreement to receive payment through exposure of her business.
According to reports, the real reason why Minnie decided not to pay the half a million Rand bull was due to a breach of contract. The events planner who put together the wedding was under strict orders not to leak any pictures of Minnie’s dress and Quinton’s suit.
The Monday after Minnie’s wedding, her dress was on many local publications. The leak was allegedly done by the official wedding planner.
"The production company has proof that an image was leaked by the team that co-ordinated the wedding," a close source revealed.
Minnie was upset and at first suspected her friends and close circle for leaking the pictures even after the MC, Anele Mdoda, requested that pictures of Minnie not be taken during the wedding.
According to a reliable source, the events planner who put together the wedding was under strict orders not to leak any pictures of Minnie’s dress and Quinton’s suit. But somehow a picture of Minnie’s gown was leaked to the newspapers the day after the wedding. This allegedly was done by the official wedding planner.
Minnie and Quinton got married a few weeks ago on a wine farm in Cape Town.
