A CITY woman is living in fear of her brother-in-law who threatens her with violence each time they have an argument.
Beatrice Munemo opened up at the Harare Civil where she applied for a protection order against her brother in-law, Turai Tobve.
“Tobve has been visiting my place of residence banging doors from outside.
“Your Worship, I don’t want him to insult me in front of my children.
“I want him barred from visiting my work place in Mbare.
“He comes uninvited and whenever he feels like disturbing my peace,” she said.
Munemo told the court that her husband is also living in fear of as a result of Tove’s conduct.
“Earlier before this application, I have constantly reported him to the police but he still continued with his behaviour.
“The police advised me to apply for protection order since his arrests would not give me complete protection,” she said.
Magistrate Noah Gwatidzo, who presided over the matter, granted the protection order in Munemo’s favour.
