Thembi Seete and Collen Mashawana have been spotted together many times and sources told the Sunday Sun Collen has even introduced Thembi to his family.
Thembi Seete (born March 25, 1977) is a South African singer, television presenter and actress best known as one of the members of the kwaito group Boom Shaka, from 1994-2000 and as Bongi on the e.tv soapie, Rhythm City.
“Things between them are heating up. Thembi has even met Collen’s son and really loves the little one,” a source told the publication.
Collen is the executive chairman of Afribiz Invest, a holding company that boasts a diversified portfolio of interests through 14 subsidiaries. He made headlines back in 2012 when reports suggested he was paying for EFF deputy president Floyd Shivambu’s luxury BMW 5 Series.
Meanwhile, Thembi recently announced her split from Bobo “Bo” Seritsane on her Massiv Metro show and also revealed she’s been been dating someone for a few months. Collen was previously married to Our Perfect Wedding’s guest host Lerato Zah Moloi.
After the Boom Shaka band broke up, Seete simultaneously launched a solo music career and a career in acting.
She played a minor role in the 2000 feature film Hijack Stories, but first made her mark in the hard-hitting SABC1 drama series Yizo Yizo. She also sang the popular track Sure Ntombazana for the soundtrack to Yizo Yizo 2, which helped launch her solo music career.
Seete played the role of Lerato in the first two seasons of the SABC1 drama series Gaz’lam, from 2002-2004, and made a final guest appearance in the show’s third season premiere, entitled “Ghosts of the Past”, which aired on 18 February 2005, among other roles as an actress.
Previously, Colleen was married to another actress, Lerato Moloi. The two separated in December last year.
