A Harare woman says she is suffering at the hands of her ex-lover, a security guard, who is refusing to accept their recent breakup.
The well-endowed Sihlelisiwe Sibanda opened up at the Harare Civil court where she applied for a peace order against her ex-lover, Lovemore Matewu, who is also demanding money he spent on her when they were still dating.
Sibanda told the court that Matewu was failing to come to terms with their breakup and was resorting to insulting her over the issue.
“He is not accepting that I don’t love him anymore, he is disturbing my peace and demanding all the money and gifts he spent on me.
“I ended the affair with him recently but he keeps stalking me because we work close to each other in Greystone Park.
“He calls me names each time I walk past his workplace going to the supermarket and as a maid, I can’t avoid the route because my boss sends me there all the time,” she said.
She prayed to the court that the order be granted.
“I want the court to grant me this application so that I may enjoy my peace,” she said.
Matewu failed to show up at court yesterday forcing a default judgment to be issued against him.
Presiding magistrate Noah Gwatidzo who presided over the matter, granted the peace order in Sibanda’s favour.
