Entrepreneur Wicknell Chivayo has appealed for assistance with the famous Chicken Inn Couple’s contact numbers so he can send them some congratulations present following their recent wedding.
Makhosana Mguni (27) and his fiancée Belinda Nyoni (24), who are now famously known across the country as the Chicken Inn proposal couple, held their wedding in Bulawayo last weekend.
Wicknell says: “Why weren’t we all invited to this function? Congrats to the CHICKEN INN COUPLE… I hope Chicken Inn finds a way to continue to supporting them financially. Love doesn’t pay the bills… Someone please help me with Makhosana’s contact details so I call him and say congrats brother,” Chivayo said on Thursday morning.
He however thinks the couple is not financially stable because they proposed at a chicken Inn outlet.
“No disrespect to the couple but using your common sense when someone proposes at a chicken inn outlet can it be assumed that they are financially stable?” Chivayo jabbed.
Meanwhile, fast-food outlet Chicken Inn has also congratulated the couple.
“A very big congratulations to our #ChickenInnCouple, Makhosana and Belinda, on tying the knot at their Lobola Ceremony this weekend in Bulawayo! We wish you many more years filled with love, joy and prosperity!,” said their tweet.
What started off as an act to publicly declare his love and affection for a woman he describes as his everything on December 26, 2018 at Chicken Inn Drive Thru, quickly trended on the Internet as Makhosana’s picture on bended knee was plastered on social media platforms
When the picture went viral on social media, there were people who ridiculed Makhosana for proposing at a fast food joint. This for him was a shock as Chicken Inn was the ideal place to propose to Belinda as it was the place they met, exchanged digits and held their first date six years ago. After the proposal and pictures were taken, Belinda was sent a WhatsApp text from her sister in the United Kingdom, informing her she was all over the Internet.
Fortunately, the Internet trolls were quickly dismissed by the majority and their misgivings were soon drowned in the voices of those who celebrated the newly engaged couple.
The proposal, Makhosana said was a culmination of a six-year relationship that is filled with love between neighbours who live in Bulawayo’s Nketa 6 suburb..
