President Emmerson Mnangagwa’s Zanu PF and Nelson Chamisa’s MDC Alliance will next month battle it out in local authorities by-elections in Bikita and Nyanga.
MDC Alliance’s Moses Maposa, Zanu PF’s Thomas Matanga and the National Constitutional Assembly’s Peter Mavenga will lock horns in the Bikita Rural District Council Ward 31 by-election slated for July 1.
The council seat was left vacant following the death of Zanu PF councillor Patrick Marozhe in April.
Zanu PF’s Bisset Mapeta is expected to lock horns with MDC-Alliance’s Vincent Bopoto in the Nyanga Ward 26 by-election. The seat fell vacant after the death of MDC councillor Elias Mashumba in April after a short.
