Horror as dhaka-boy refuses to be dumped by curvy pharmacist girlfriend, stabs her to death

A BRICKLAYING assistant (dhaka-boy) from Masvingo is on the run after allegedly fatally stabbing his curvy pharmacist girlfriend for despising his profession.

Cephas Muremba (30) of Victoria Range suburb allegedly stabbed Elizabeth Dzinge (29) with a sharp object, once on the left shoulder near the collar bone.

Dzinge bled profusely and died on the spot, outside the gate of the couple’s lodgings.

The couple’s unnamed landlord reported the matter to the police who attended the scene but found Muremba having fled the scene of the crime.

Masvingo police spokesperson, Chief Inspector Charity Mazula said the incident occurred on Wednesday at around 9 PM.

“I can confirm that we received a report of murder which occurred in Victoria Range suburb. The man had an altercation with the woman and this degenerated into a fight leading to the man fatally stabbing the victim on the left shoulder near the collar bone,” said Chief Insp Mazula.

“The suspect fled after committing the crime and police have since launched a manhunt.”

A source said at around 8PM, the two lovebirds were at home but later went for a beer drink at the nearby Victoria Range Bottle Store.

He said the pair returned home around 9PM but they were heard quarrelling with the man threatening to assault his lover.

“While in their room, the two were heard shouting at each other with Dzinge telling Muremba to leave the house claiming that she was the one paying rentals. She bragged that she was a well-educated professional, working as a pharmacist and regretted having fallen in love with a person of low status. The dispute intensified and Dzinge allegedly pushed Muremba out of the gate while calling him names,” said the source.

When the landlord went outside to check, he was taken aback to find Dzinge’s lifeless body lying in a pool of blood.
