Lastborn Bhusvu (40) of Rodzi Village under Chief Chimombe in Bhasera who was on remand pending a court ruling on his domestic violence case was found hanging from a tree at the family homestead on Monday.
Gutu resident magistrate Victor Mohamadi who presided over the case confirmed the death to The Mirror and said he had been informed about it by Police from Bhasera.
Magistrate Mohamadi was supposed to give his ruling in the case in which the deceased allegedly assaulted his mother on Tuesday next week.
Bhusvu appeared at Gutu Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday last week. Samuel Magobeya representing the State said that on July 18, 2018, Bhusvu assaulted his mother Tiwai Bhusvu accusing her of allowing her daughter (Bhusvu’s sister) to bring her illegitimate children home.
He described her sister as whore who should not burden the family with her children.
Bhusvu also threatened to kill his father.
