Prophet Tapiwa Freddy pulls a shocker during his album launch at 7 Arts Theater in Avondale


GOODNESS and Mercy Ministries leader, Prophet Tapiwa Freddy ministered to guests at the launch of his latest album by giving a Mercedes Benz to a visual impaired radio personality at 7 Arts Theater on Friday

Prophet Freddy popularly known for spiritual spectacles pulled a shocker and handed keys of a Mercedes Benz to radio personality Liberty Mukhululi Luphahla drawing attention of the guests soon after the official launching of his latest album Kastep Kenyasha by Pastor Charles Charamba.

Guests, among them journalists thronged to the stage to congratulate Luphahla who knelt down in honouring the man of cloth with the gift.

“Mwari variko. I never thought or dreamt of owning a vehicle but Prophet Freddy has given me life, hope and faith in the living God,” said Luphahla.

“I feel humbled before the man of God and may his ministry continue to grow and may his family be increased in abundance.

“I never owned or drove a car and this one is my first vehicle and I will make sure I got license to drive it,” he said in tears much to uninvited silence that diverted the usual moment of auctioning the latest CD.

Prophet Freddy told guests that he was touched by how Luphahla discharge his duties whole heartedly despite his impaired sight.

“The day I met Luphahla God spoke to me as I observed how he discharges his duties in earnest,” said Prophet Freddy.

“I began to understand that disability does not mean inability and this opened a door for me to be given grace to give him a vehicle.

“He visited our place of worship in Glen View and heard us announcing about our missionary journey to Bulawayo where he offered free services of interpreting my sermon in Ndebele and that touched me much,” said Prophet Freddy.

Guests took time to leave the car park soon after the launch as they witness Luphahla getting a feel of his vehicle he gave someone to drive him to ZBC Mbare Studios where he is stationed.

Prophet Freddy’s first CD went away with one Givers Mudimu who bought it for RTGs30 000 and he was also given a residential stand in Westgate and a commercial stand in Glen View.

Various church leaders including Charambas invaded the stage dancing in a style to mark Kastep Kenyasha which is the title track of the album.

Gospel Artists Agatha Murudzwa, Bethan Pasinawako, Kudzi Nyakudya and Vabati vaJehovha provided entertainement.
