Minister of Tourism Prisca Mupfumira has been remanded in custody for 21 days.
Mupfumira arrives at court. She is set to be behind bars for the next 3 weeks.
She was arrested on Thursday by the Zimbabwe Anti-Corruption Commission (ZACC) and is facing seven counts of alleged criminal abuse of office
Acting Chief Magistrate Munamato Mutevedzi said issues raised by Minister Mupfumira’s defence lawyer are pertinent.
He said if given the bail, the accused can conceal the evidence.
He also said the evidence given by the defence lawyer Charles Chinyama contradicts with Sect 32 3b of the Criminal Law (Codification & Reform) Act which he raised.
