A Bulawayo man is being tormented by his ex-wife whom he divorced after he reportedly discovered that she had allegedly lied to him before they moved in together that she was not married.
Alton Shumba from Nkulumane 5 was apparently horrified when he discovered that Chenayi Nyamupfukudza whom he had also married and had a child with, was also legally attached to someone else.
He said from the time they separated he had never known peace because of Nyamupfukudza, a manager with a local funeral assurance and service company who is sending people to spy on him.
Shumba, who is employed by a local beverage manufacturing company, said he was living in fear of Nyamupfukudza who is also stalking him and harassing his new wife.
He said Nyamupfukudza was also visiting his workplace to harass and threaten him with unspecified action.
Nyamupfukudza, however, rebutted her ex-husband’s allegations before she requested that the order be reciprocal, because Shumba also tarnished her image when he phoned her bosses after she sued him for maintenance.
Shumba, however, vowed that he would never go back to Nyamupfukudza after she lied to him before they moved in together that she was “single and searching”. His prayers were, however, not answered when the presiding magistrate Rachael Mukanga dismissed his application for lack of merits.
