SELF-PROCLAIMED Gaffa prophet Passion Java lost a Rolex wrist watch valued at US$20,000 during a stampede at his Twabam Nyama birthday braai, and is pleading for its return by offering a US$2,000 reward.
Posting on social media last night, Java said no questions will be asked. However, the message attracted ridicule from some who said since he was a seer and man of God, he could as well use his acclaimed prophetic eyes to figure out where the prized Rolex watch is.
Passion Java, who a few days ago went around Mbare dishing out loaves of bread like confetti at a wedding, held his birthday bash “in a different way”, with loads of beef braai, sadza, cakes and drinks.
Bread is now among the luxury foods in Zimbabwe as many can no longer afford their daily bread due to the steep prices.
“It ended with the cake fight started by the Gaffa himself,” Java said of the stampede at a Harare sports club that later ended with him losing the watch.
“This is an important update: In the midst of a stampede the Prophet lost his $20k Rolex Watch. Whoever finds it will get a reward,” Java added.
Java, well known for his tagline ‘Twabam’, has also recently “blessed” Ximex Mall dealers with wads of US dollar notes, just because he could.
