Commuters were treated to free drama last week on Friday after a Zupco driver blocked the way which allegedly resulted in a commuter omnibus driver insulting him by saying the Zupco driver had a wife whose private parts were deep and as wide as a bucket.
The kombi driver claimed he knew the dimensions of the said privates because he had se_x with the other driver’s wife daily.
Norman Ncube (40) allegedly double-parked a Zupco bus along Leopold Takawira Avenue and Herbert Chitepo Street, blocking the busy road.
Scores of motorists hooted impatiently and a commuter omnibus driver, Samson Chigodho, jumped from his vehicle in apparent anger and dashed towards Ncube.
He allegedly claimed he had se_x with Ncube’s wife everyday.
“Your a** you are bragging about your useless job of being a Zupco bus driver. I have se_x with your wife everyday when you have left for work. Her private part is now big like a bucket’s opening,” continued Chigodho.
Some commuters watched in glee while some covered their ears in disgust.
In African culture, you can insult a man with almost anything and have a chance of getting away with it. The tables turn if you mention another man’s wife or mother in a derogatory manner in an argument. Then you may be guaranteed a fight.
A number of onlookers commended Ncube for remaining calm in the face of the extreme provocation.
Ncube who had parked to let the commuters disembark from the bus drove off to the Zupco depot. Later, he made a police report leading to the arrest of Chigodho.
Chigodho appeared on Tuesday before magistrate Jechonia Ncube at the Tredgold magistrates’ court.
He was facing a criminal insult charge. He denied the charge.
“Your Worship, I never insulted him, he is just cooking up a story. I only asked him not to block the way,” said Chigodho.
He was remanded out of custody to Tuesday next week for continuation of trial.
