“It is unfortunate that LEAD President, Linda Masarira has become a statistic in this regard, with a minor road accident that occurred late evening yesterday along Lomagundi road, where her car had a fault with the suspension and veered off the road,” said Precious Musarurwa in a media release Monday.
“We are thankful that no one was injured in this mishap, and we are grateful for the police and community members who came to the scene and rendered their assistance.
“As LEAD, we urge all motorists to be safe on the roads and to ensure that their vehicles are also roadworthy, so as to avoid road carnage.”
The opposition party called on Zimbabweans to excercise caution on the roads during the festive season when accidents statistics generally peak up.
“We wish every Zimbabwean a pleasant festive season and encourage the act of giving to the less privileged than ourselves, as we celebrate the gift of life through the spirit of Ubuntu/Hunhu,” Musarurwa said.
