The Zanu-PF Politburo is set to meet on Wednesday at the party’s headquarters, the Shake Shake building.
In a statement, Zanu-PF secretary for Information and Publicity Cde Simon Khaya Moyo said:
“The Secretary for Administration Cde Obert Mpofu wishes to advise all members that there shall be a Politburo meeting to be held on Wednesday 5 February 2020 at the Party Headquarters commencing 1000hours. All members should be seated by 0945hours sharp.”
The Zanu PF headquarters was nicknamed the "Shake Shake" building, because of its resemblance to Chibuku Shake Shake, a type of sorghum beer sold in cartons. Constructed during the post-independence building boom, the Zanu–PF Building, unlike many others at the time, was designed by Zimbabwean architects, Peter Martin and Tony Wales-Smith. At the time of its completion, it was the tallest building in Harare.
