The body of a 71-year-old Chinhoyi man who was found dead on a mountain in Bigdale farm, Mvurwi on Sunday is reportedly in a decomposing state.
Sources close to investigations allege the man was killed somewhere and subsequently dumped on a mountain in Mvurwi.
"No one from the farm seem to know the man, we suspect the man was killed somewhere and dumped on a mountain.
"The body is now in a decomposing state, we managed to identify him using his national identity card, but we are still trying to contact his next of keen," revealed the source.
Contacted for comment national police spokesperson Chief Superintendent Paul Nyathi said he is yet to get a formal report.
"We are yet to get a formal report from the province," said Nyathi.
Meanwhile, residents of Bigdale farm are so much afraid of the police since they fear to report all sudden deaths reported in their area.
A fortnight ago a zero grade drowned in a deep tank and his grandmother silenced everyone who had information about his death fearing arrest.
However, the police should carry out serious awareness in the area to educate people on what to do in cases of sudden deaths.
