A 44 year old man was assaulted to death by three suspects who hid the body in a drum before throwing it into a dam.
The matter came to light at Bindura magistrates’ courts where Evelyn Madondo appeared before magistrate Ethel Chichera facing a murder charge.
She was remanded in custody to October 1.
Madondo’s accomplice Eugine Marangwanda is now deceased while the other Trevor Nyamvura is still at large.
The state alleged on July 19, the trio assaulted the now deceased Mind Madombwe with a log, stone and fists. After realising that they had killed the man, they allegedly put him in a drum and hid the body in a bush for three days.
The trio subsequently took the drum with the corpse and threw it into a farm dam where it was found floating.
