SOUL Jah Love reckons loyal fans have turned their backs on him during the Covid-19 lockdown.
In an interview with H-Metro, Chibaba said misfortunes have been trailing him all through the year.
Jah Love says he also received poor support from the fans he thought had his back
“In 2020, one of the things that I have managed to archive is a divorce.
“I have also received poor support from my fans that I thought had my back.
“When I needed their support the most they turned their backs on me,” he said.
Asked what he regrets doing as an artiste in 2020, Jah Love said:
“I regret following the Covid-19 regulatory rules which made me stay indoors doing nothing.
“I am only surviving by the grace of God.
“I however feel like a president the way that I am living right now despite everything that is happening around me,” he said.
The Conquering Family boss said it is painful for him with how shows have been cancelled.
“It is painful that live shows that we mostly depended on have been put on hold.
“We have resorted to doing online shows and they are alright.
“These online shows are not bad as they keep us connected to our fans but they are not as beneficial as the live shows we used to have,” he told H-Metro.
On how he was managing to sustain his family and also his band, he added:
“Despite the fact that our shows which used to be our main source of income, we are surviving.
“We have other side hustles and these are helping us in terms of being able to take care of our families.”
With the festive season fast approaching, Soul Jah Love said he had no plans.
“I have made no plans for this festive season.
“Corona has taken everything from us and we cannot make any plans yet because we are not sure if it is going anytime soon.
“For now, let us just leave it to the Lord, he knows what he wants for us,” he said.
