The KADUNGURE family is running out of space to accommodate mourners ahead of the farewell party and burial of the late Genius ‘Ginimbi’ slated for Saturday.
Tents on Tuesday filled the space which was reserved for vehicle parking forcing the family to negotiate with one of the family members to allow his field to be cleared.
One of the family members told H-Metro yesterday that Ginimbi’s local and foreign friends with bigger names would attract a legion of fans to add up to the mourners expected on Friday when the body is expected to be taken to the late’s roots.
“We are under pressure to create enough space for mourners as well as parking space,” a source said.
“Remember, a number of residents in Domboshava are giving out their pieces of land to desperate home seekers and Kadungure family is not spared from cashing in on their land.
“Pakakwa matende ndipo patazoona kuti nzvimbo yasara shoma ndinovimba kuti ruzhinji vachanzwisisa urongwa uhwu,” said the source.
A number of tents were pitched between the late Ginimbi’s mansion and that of his parents.
Two church services were held at the same time, one at the mansion and another at the parents of Ginimbi as the family made efforts to work with the limited spaces in Nyamande village.
Scores of people continued to visit the mansion to meet the family to pay their condolences and some would not leave before admiring the beauty of the place where Ginimbi invested part of his celebrated wealth.
Ginimbi died on the spot and three others in a road traffic accident along Borrowdale Road on Sunday.
He is expected to be laid to rest at his Domboshava mansion on Saturday.
