PROPHETS and traditional healers claiming to have powers to locate the missing parts of the murdered Murewa boy have been warned against interfering with police investigations.
National police spokesperson Assistant Commissioner Paul Nyathi made the call following several people claiming to have powers to locate where the missing body parts are.
“The Zimbabwe Republic Police would like to warn people posting statements on social media claiming to have knowledge of where the missing body parts of the Murewa murder case that they face arrest,” said Ass Comm Nyathi.
“Those caught posting such statements face charges of interfering with police investigations in a way to defeat the course of justice.
“If these people have anything they know in connection with the murder case they must come forward as witnesses not posting unsubstantiated statements on social media.
“Police will not be distracted from carrying their investigations by such unsubstantiated claims meant to defeat the course of justice,” said Ass Comm Nyathi.
