AMERICAN business magnate and media owner Jeff Bezos is no longer the richest person in the world.
He was unseated by French luxury mogul Bernard Arnault with a net worth of $195,4 billion (about R275 trillion).
The owner of Hennessy and Louis Vuitton’s entire family net worth puts him $2,1 billion (about R3 trillion) above Bezos.
According to ceoworld.biz, both Arnault and Bezos sit comfortably above third runner-up SpaceX and Tesla owner Elon Musk.
Arnault is the chief executive of LVMH and holds a 47,5% stake. Its subsidiaries include Louis Vuitton, Moët & Chandon, Christian Dior as well as Tiffany & Co.
Fourth on the list of the top 10 richest people in the world is Bill Gates, followed by Mark Zuckerberg, Larry Page, Larry Ellison, Sergey Brin, Warren Buffett and Francoise Bettencourt Meyers.
