A Harare man was yesterday dragged to court after he reportedly broke in and threatened to kill his ex-wife and her sister.

The suspect Tendai Gwarimbo (40), was not asked to plead when he appeared before Harare magistrate Isheanesu Matova who remanded him out of custody to August 25.

The first complainant is Patience Maenzanise (33) who is Gwarimbo’s ex-wife.

The court heard that on July 31, at around 10pm, Gwarimbo went to number 33 Hopely Road in Greendale where Maenzanise resides and jumped over the precast wall and damaged the French door using bricks to gain entry.

Upon entering the house, he took a knife and threatened to kill her with it holding it to her neck but she managed to escape.
