SIXTEEN people arrested Saturday in Kuwadzana, Harare after they were caught having se_x at a party which has been named ‘Sodom and Gomorrah’ have been released on free bail.
The 10 men and six women appeared before Harare Magistrate Barbra Mateko.
The 16 are; are Thokozani Tshuma, (24), Shylet Simba, Lucia Nyakutsikwa (36), Loveness Zindi (34), Sithatisiwe Kufa, (21), Luis Zvanhasi (24), Daniel Divala (23), Alexio Chibanda (41), Munashe Masawi (25). Praisemore Makuni, (39). Samuel Makore, (37), Paul Nhodza, (35), Mabva, (35), Mark Tatirenyika (32), and Edward Kanengoni, (29).
They were remanded to this Tuesday for prerecording of the trial.
The party revellers were caught having se_x by the police Saturday night at a house owned by Reyn Mabva (35).
Mabva was asked to pay $3000 bail.
The 16 were charged with soliciting clients for the purpose of pr0stitution.
Mabva is also charged with turning his house into a brothel.
The party was advertised from October 14, 2021, on a WhatsApp group.
The suspects were asked to pay $200 bond for buying cond0ms and toiletries and US$20 to get an opportunity to have se_x with all the ladies in attendance.
According to the court papers, the 16 suspects gathered from 10:30 pm and police pounced at the party around midnight.
The Sodom and Gomorrah party was allegedly organised by Moleen Mashingaidze who is reported to have posted an advert.
The police allegedly recovered a plastic bag full of cond0ms, and US$85.
