Christina Matutu (20) was arrested by Featherstone Police on Wednesday for allegedly stabbing to death her husband who had slept out at a girlfriend’s place.

Both Matutu and her husband Felix Mutasa (24) were farm workers at Plot 72 Charter Estate, Featherstone.

Mash East Police spokesperson, Simon Chazovachii confirmed the incident to The Mirror.

The facts are that on Wednesday at around 3pm, Mutasa left home to visit his girlfriend Cencia Chimunda of Village 8, Tsungi Beatrice. He reportedly spent the night in Chimunda’s arms.

Mutasa then reported for work at The Estate the next day and the wife asked his whereabouts the previous night. Mutasa responded by telling his wife that he no longer loved her and he therefore slept at Chimunda’s place.

At 1pm the two left work for home and along the way, Matutu asked his husband why he was cheating on her. An incensed Mutasa is said to have then assaulted Matutu with a stick and he was refrained by some passers-by.

They proceeded home and Matutu all of a sudden withdrew a knife and stabbed her husband once on the chest. Mutasa fell to the ground where he bled profusely and died on the spot.

Matutu informed Steven Timothy, who also works at the same farm. Steven then rushed to the scene and found Mutasa dead.
