Former MDC councillor Misheck Gapare who died in Masvingo on Sunday was buried at Mangwandi Cemetery at the outskirts of the city yesterday.
Scores of people including senior Masvingo City Council staffers attended the funeral.
Also present was former Masvingo Town Clerk, Adolf Gusha, Alderman Pedzisa Tsere, former MDC Alliance councillor, Daniel Mberikunashe, City Health director Ngonidzashe Mapamula, and Acting Finance Director, Jonga.
Ward 8 councillor, Against Chiteme, who gave a speech on behalf of the local authority described Gapare as a people’s representative who was not a yes man.
He attributed the establishment and fast growth of Vic Ranch suburb to Gapare.
